The Resident Return visa allows specific individuals, such as current or former Australian permanent residents, to travel internationally and return to Australia.
Eligibility includes a 5-year travel facility for those spending at least two of the last five years in Australia, or a 1-year travel facility for individuals with substantial business, cultural, employment, or personal ties that benefit Australia. This option also applies to those who were permanent residents when they last left Australia and can provide compelling reasons for absences exceeding five years.
