Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa is temporary and is designed for skilled workers who wish to reside and work in regional Australia.
To be eligible, individuals must be nominated by a State or Territory government agency or have an eligible relative sponsor them. Meeting the criteria of the points test and receiving an invitation to apply are also prerequisites. After three years with a Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) Visa, the individual can apply for a Permanent Residence (Skilled Regional) Visa.
